Press Brake Operator

Description:
Purpose:
Operate press brake to form, bend, punch, notch variety of steel in with a broad range of shapes and sizes.
The Press Brake team member will be responsible for ensuring products meet quality standards with regard to customer specifications.
To ensure success in this role, the Press Brake operator must have a high aptitude of math skills, be familiar with different computer software and be a self-starter.
Essential Functions:
Set-up tooling and Program Press Brake per Customer CAD DataOperate press brakeWork from blueprints, drawings to meet customer specifications an tolerances Trouble shoot machine and adjust the functions and settings of machinesPerform necessary quality inspections to ensure that parts meet guidelinesPerform preventative and regular maintenance on press to ensure that their operational life is extendedConduct operations in a manner that promote safety.
Compile with OSHA and MDSD Standards.
Participate in 6S activitiesRequirements:
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED; technical degree preferredExperience in press brake programming, operations and change overs.
Hands on mechanical skillsExperience using height gages and calipers Knowledge of blue print readingExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team Analytical and problem solving skills Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts desiredCompliance with all health and safety regulations, policies and proceduresStrong attention to detailMust have regular attendance as well as willingness and ability to work overtimeAmericans with Disabilities SpecificationsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
